A Manual Transmission for the 2019 G70?
Genesis has recently announced some exciting news about the G70. Rumor has it that this compact luxury sedan will be available with a manual transmission.
Although it has not been confirmed, the 2019 Genesis G70 is speculated to pair a 6-speed manual transmission with its 2.0L turbo-4 engine. Currently, the G70 is available with a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cyclinder engine, or with a 3.3L V6 engine, with a choice between rear- or all-wheel drive.
G70’s with a manual transmission will only be available with the turbo-4 engine and rear-wheel drive, whereas models with an automatic transmission will only come in conjunction with all-wheel drive. G70’s including a manual transmission will deliver 252 horsepower, and 260 lb-ft of torque.
Fuel Economy ratings have been reveled about this luxury sports sedan. G70’s containing a 2.0L turbo-4 engine, rear-wheel drive, alongside an 8 speed automatic transmission will deliver 25 mpg combine, while all-wheel drive models will deliver 23 mpg combined. G70’s including a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive will deliver 22 mpg.
It has also been suspected that G70’s with a manual transmission will come exclusively in the Sports trim, include Brembo brakes, 19 inch wheels, and a head-up display.
Genesis plans to debut the 2019 Genesis G70 early this year with a starting price around $30,000. Click here or visit your Algonquin Hyundai Genesis dealer for more information about tis luxury sedan!
